Meet The Face Behind Brady and Company, P.C.
I’m Thomas P. Brady, Jr., proud owner of Brady and Company, P.C.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I was working for several companies before I had the opportunity to start my business. It has now been over forty years since I’ve had this company and fifty years since I’ve been a CPA.
Initially, I ran the business with a part-time helper and a handful of accounts. We have now grown into a team of seven and several hundred accounts.
We run our business on the values of honesty, reliability, and accountability. All our clients have different needs, and we aim to address their individual needs, so they get what they need when they need it.
We take pride in supporting our clients and always put their preferences first. If they succeed so do we. We treat our clients’ success as our success. It fosters a relationship of growth where we build on our relationship to ensure we both evolve and advance.
The most rewarding part is when we see our work making a difference. To be in this line of work for over forty years and still bring about a positive outcome to people’s business and life is satisfying.
We once had a young, single mother who received an IRS notice as she didn’t report several thousand dollars of income. The proposed tax bill was not affordable and would have virtually bankrupted her. The “unreported income” was actually the receipts of a Go Fund Me account that was set up for her by a friend. We contacted the IRS and backed our case with reasonable arguments and case law. We suggested that this was not “income.” The final outcome was that the IRS rescinded the notice and sent out a no change. Our client was relieved and couldn’t stop thanking us. Not all of our cases are this extreme, but that briefly sums it up.
I feel strongly about helping our clients against the IRS. I enjoy the intellectual battle over the tax law and get the satisfaction of holding the IRS accountable for their actions and proving them wrong.
When I am not busy at work, I like to sail and travel whenever possible. I recently took a cruise from Boston to Canada.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
